The SA Transport and Allied Workers union (Satawu) and affiliated organisations are calling for changes to the Prasa board.

They are also demanding a forensic investigation into alleged corruption and nepotism at Prasa.

The march ended at the Prasa offices. Protesters carried placards calling for the removal of chairperson Popo Molefe and for the train operator's board to be disbanded.

Popo must go", "Popo must go back to the North West", "Disband the board now", "Hands off Lucky Montana" and "We can't be led by criminal" could also be seen on T-shirts handed out to members.

Satawu was joined in the march by the MK Veterans Association, the ANC Youth League, and the Congress of SA Students.

Both Tshwane Metro Police and the South African Police Services kept an eye on the procession as it left the Pretoria train station.
