Cape Town - Some of the items stolen during a burglary at the Stellenbosch serious and violent crimes unit have been recovered, Western Cape police said on Wednesday.
Computer equipment “and other items” were stolen in the burglary, police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel André Traut told News24.
The burglary occurred on Saturday, May 23.
“Investigations into the circumstances had led to the recovery of some of the goods,” said Traut.
“Arrests are yet to be made.”
Among the cases being investigated by detectives in the unit is the attack on the Van Breda family which left parents Martin and Teresa and their son Rudi dead.
The Van Breda daughter Marli has retrograde amnesia after sustaining serious head wounds in the attack. Her brother Henri had only cuts and bruises from the attack.
Four months after the January attacks, no arrests have been made.
