Cape Town - A loud bang, and then people running for cover confirmed something "big" was wrong, an eyewitness to Wednesday's shooting at a garage outside the Cape Town International Airport said.

Police were on the scene. Photographs sent to News24 showed an ambulance and a number of police vehicles at a BP service station at the entrance to the airport.
A petrol attendant told News24 one robber was killed, one was injured and a third got away.
Still shaken, Andie Morris said she was waiting in her car at the garage, biding her time to drive into the airport to pick up a colleague, when she heard the shot.
"I heard this bang, but I thought it was a tyre that burst because it was really calm. Nothing seemed out of place. But when I looked behind me, I saw this man in a khaki uniform shooting at the car right next to me.
"And then I knew something big is wrong. I just ducked in my car. I have never been this afraid in my life."
She recalled that the car being shot at was driving out of the parking area at the time.
"From what I could see, one of the men shot was lying halfway in the car. I think he was definitely dead. A woman was lying on her side on the ground, but I am not sure if she was alive."
Next thing, people were running between the cars. "The garage was quite busy at the time, so there was a lot of people running. And there were so many shots."
Morris said police were on the scene very quickly. "I still did not see a cash delivery vehicle, so I couldn't understand what caused the shooting. I am not sure whether the people were stealing something, or whether it was a drug deal that went bad.
"All I know is that I have never been so fearful in my life. This is the first time that I have seen a criminal act up close."
And through it all, she still managed a shaky laugh. "I even remembered to pick up my colleague. But this will stay with me."
