Johannesburg - A suspected drug peddler dropped dead in Northgate Mall after being pursued by Johannesburg metro police on Wednesday night.

Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said JMPD officers had stopped a car near Northgate Mall around 20:00.

"It is alleged that drugs were found inside the car and that the male driver jumped out and ran inside the mall," said Minnaar.
