Johannesburg - Two sisters have been sentenced to 20 and 15 years respectively for the murder of Mduduzi Njoko in Umlazi in 2012, KwaZulu-Natal police said on Saturday.
Smangele Ndlovu, 39, was sentenced to 15 years for murder after she and her sister Thabile Vilakazi, 44, hired a hitman to kill Njoko at his home in Umlazi Z-Section in January 2012, Colonel Jay Naicker said.
Ndlovu had suspected that the 42-year-old man was having an affair with another woman. She believed Njoko was going to pay lobola for the woman and make her his second wife, Naicker said.
