Durban - Thirteen school children were injured when a minibus taxi and a car collided at the junction of Otto Volek and Shepstone roads in New Germany on Thursday.
ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the taxi on a concrete pillar.
"Children, who were scared and shocked, were sitting on the grass close by. They ranged from the ages of about 5 and 14 years old," she said.
"They were assessed by paramedics and found to have sustained minor injuries. They were treated and transported to a nearby clinic. The exact cause of the collision is unknown."
