Cape Town - A man was killed when a truck and Toyota Corolla collided head-on on the R512 near Lanseria on Monday night.
Three others were also injured.
The accident occurred shortly after 17:00.
The man, who was in the passenger seat of the car, was declared dead on arrival.
ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said the driver of the vehicle was trapped behind the steering wheel and the local fire department had to free him from the wreckage.
"Once freed, the driver was stabilised and transported to hospital for further medical treatment. The driver of the truck, along with another occupant, was treated on the scene for moderate injuries before they were transported to hospital," said Vermaak.
