Magwaza-Msibi likely to leave hospital soon

Johannesburg - National Freedom Party leader Zanele kaMagwaza-Msibi is likely to be discharged from hospital in the next few days, her spokesperson said on Monday.

"KaMagwaza-Msibi's condition has dramatically improved since she was hospitalised last week," spokesperson Canaan Mdletshe said in a statement.

"She is likely to be discharged from hospital in the next few days following her remarkable recovery," he said.

KaMagwaza-Msibi was admitted to hospital on Monday.

Her party denied media reports that the science and technology deputy minister had suffered a stroke, saying her stay in hospital was as a result of fatigue.

"She was fatigued, she never rested after the national elections. The doctors have advised that she needs rest," secretary general Nhlanhla Khubisa said on Sunday.
