Man caught driving hijacked vehicle

Johannesburg - A hijacker has been arrested in Meadowlands, Soweto police said on Friday.

The 25-year-old was caught in Zone Seven on Thursday while driving a Toyota Fortuner hijacked in Chrisville, Johannesburg, said Warrant Officer Sibusiso Chauke.

Chauke said when police stopped the car, two men got out and ran away. They caught one man and found a 9mm pistol in his possession.

He would appear soon in the Protea Magistrate's Court.
