Johannesburg - One person was killed and three injured when their vehicle overturned on the M13 in Pinetown, near Durban, paramedics said on Saturday.
Three passengers were flung from the vehicle when it rolled and the driver was trapped inside the wreck, said ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak.
"According to the occupants they were travelling on the M13 towards Durban when the driver apparently lost control over the vehicle," he said.
The driver was declared dead on the scene.
The passengers were transported to St Augustine's and RK Khan Hospitals after being treated by paramedics.
The cause of the accident would be investigated.
