Man dies as car hits tow truck

Durban - A man was killed when the car he was travelling in collided with a tow truck on the R33 near Seven Oaks in Muden, KwaZulu-Natal, paramedics said on Sunday.

"It is understood that the driver was a priest on his way home in the Toyota Hilux when he was involved in the head-on collision with the towing vehicle carrying a broken down vehicle on the back," ER24 spokesperson Werner Vermaak said.

The man was declared dead on the scene around 16:30.

The driver of the truck sustained minor injuries. He was take to Greytown hospital.
