Johannesburg - One man has died and another person injured in a collision on the R28 heading towards Krugersdorp, paramedics said on Sunday.
"It is understood that a car and bakkie collided. It is believed that a Toyota Fortuner rolled and hit a pole after the driver tried to avoid equipment that fell off the bakkie," ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.
"ER24 paramedics and other services arrived on scene and found the man trapped in the Fortuner. Unfortunately he had succumbed to his injuries. Fire and Rescue Services extricated the man from the vehicle."
Paramedics treated a person for moderate injuries and transported them to hospital for further treatment.
Police are investigating.
