Man killed in hit-and-run in Benoni

Johannesburg - A man was killed in an apparent hit-and-run accident in Benoni, east of Johannesburg, on Tuesday, paramedics said.

ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring said the man, in his 30s, was found lying on the middle road divider.

"Unfortunately the man had already succumbed to his fatal injuries. The driver of the vehicle was not found on scene," said Meiring.

"Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations."

For the life of me I can never understand why people will run across a highway when there are bridges every couple of kilometres where they can cross safely. Think people think.....

Basic road rules. Look left, look right, look left again. Must've had a stiff neck.

Its just appalling how unsympathetic and evil people have become. Somebody has lost his life and yet people have absolutely no scruples about making such distasteful jokes. News24 has been an eye-opener @ just how racist divided and sick this nation is..... Saddening
