Johannesburg - A man was killed and a 15-year-old girl critically injured when the bakkie they were travelling in rolled on the R36 just outside Tzaneen in the early hours of Sunday morning, paramedics said.
Five other passengers from the bakkie had also sustained minor to moderate injuries, ER24 spokesperson Chitra Bodasing said.
They were ejected from the bakkie when it rolled.
"When... paramedics and other services arrived on scene they found the bakkie in a veld. Patients were lying all over in the veld," Bodasing said.
The 20-year-old man was declared dead on the scene.
The critically injured teenager and the other injured were treated on scene and then transported to hospital.
