Johannesburg - A man allegedly shot his police constable wife dead and then killed himself at their home in Ezibeleni, near Queenstown, Eastern Cape police said on Monday.

The 33-year-old off-duty constable, stationed at the Ilinge police station, was killed by her husband Lita Balekile, 33, on Sunday morning, said Colonel Sibongile Soci.
