Cape Town - A 42-year-old suspect appeared in the Cape Town Magistrate's Court on Monday for dealing in drugs, after he arrived in the city with an estimated R5.2m worth of tik.
The man was arrested on Saturday at Cape Town railway station after he arrived on a bus, said police spokesperson Captain Frederick van Wyk.
Van Wyk would not tell News24 where the man was travelling from.
The suspect allegedly had the 16kg of tik in his hand luggage.
“Western Cape Saps management commended the members involved in this operation and said this must be a stern warning to all would-be drug dealers that the trade of this nature would not be allowed in the Western Cape,” said Van Wyk.
