Minister Molewa sworn in as acting president

Environmental Affairs Minister Edna Molewa has been sworn in as Acting President of the Republic while President Jacob Zuma leads a South African delegation to the inaugural United States-Africa Leaders' Summit taking place from 4-6 August 2014 in Washington, in the United States of America.

Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa is in Nouakchott, in the Islamic Republic of Mauritania to attend the inauguration ceremony of President-Elect Mahomed Ould Abdel Aziz.
