Saba Mbixane

Johannesburg - Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa expressed shock on Friday at the death of radio presenter and traditional singer, Saba Mbixane.

"This legend of the airwaves served the broadcasting industry with laudable excellence for over three decades," Mthethwa said in a statement.

"He was an outstanding broadcaster, cultural activist, talent scout and promoter of indigenous music, especially mbhaqanga."
