Johannesburg - The body of a man was found in Pretoria West on the corner of Zyla and Frederick streets on Wednesday, Gauteng police said.
"Police attended to the scene at about 06:00 and found a man in his thirties lying on the ground," spokesperson Constable Tumisang Moloto said.
"He sustained injuries to his head. It is suspected that the man was murdered somewhere else and that his body was dumped later at the above location as there was no blood visible on the scene."
The man was later identified by friends as a Zimbabwean national, but his name would not be publicly released until his next of kin had been informed.
"A case of murder has been opened at SAPS Pretoria West for further police investigation," Moloto said.
