Pretoria – Tshwane's executive mayor has put his support behind the ANC Youth League’s call for the removal of the statue of former president Paul Kruger from Church Square, Pretoria.
According to Netwerk24, Mayor Kgosientso Ramokgopa’s spokesperson Blessing Manale said on Monday he "embraced" the ANCYL’s call for Kruger’s statue, along with several other statues in Pretoria, to be relocated.
Ramokgopa describes the league's proposal as sensible and reasonable.
