Pedestrian dies in Cape Town accident

Johannesburg - A male pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle in Bonteheuwel, Cape Town, in the Western Cape on Monday, said paramedics.

Spokesperson for ER24 Vanessa Jackson said the accident occurred on the N2 highway just before the Vanguard Drive off-ramp.

"The man, in his late 20s, was found lying between the fast and middle lane of the highway... [He] was declared dead on scene," said Jackson.

The occupants of the vehicle that hit him were not injured in the incident.
