Police still investigating Meyiwa murder

Johannesburg - Police arrested two people in connection with the murder of Bafana Bafana captain Senzo Meyiwa at his pop-star girlfriend's home, the SABC reported on Wednesday.

Update: Gauteng police have denied reports of two men being arrested and said the matter was still being investigated.

The 27-year-old goalkeeper was shot dead late on Sunday at Kelly Khumalo's house in Vosloorus.

The SABC said the two men were being held for questioning after they were arrested in Nongoma, in KwaZulu-Natal.

The SABC said the suspects were nabbed following a tip-off by members of the public.

Police have offered a reward of R250 000 for any information leading to the killer's arrest.

Meyiwa will be buried in Umlazi, his home town, on Saturday.
