Johannesburg - Police have been dispatched to the Oriental Plaza in Fordsburg, Johannesburg, following reports of an armed robbery at the FNB bank on Friday morning.
Lieutenant Colonel Lungelo Dlamini could not immediately give more information on the incident except to say that police vehicles were dispatched to the scene.
Sources informed News24 that there had been a shoot-out at the bank between the robbers and security officials.
Apparently one SBV guard was shot and wounded, a police officer took a shot to the vest and one suspect was killed, but this has not been confirmed by the police.
