Search continues for missing Free State boy

Bloemfontein - Police are searching for the body of a 7-year-old boy who went missing at the Vaal dam near Deneysville, Free State police said on Thursday.

Bongani Mosia and Nthako Thithi, both aged 7, were reported missing after they were last seen playing under the bridge in Refengkgotso around 17:00 on Saturday.

"Divers are still searching the area," said police spokesperson Thandi Mbambo.

The body of one of the boys, Nthako, was found on Sunday.

Two men questioned by police on Sunday on allegations that they were involved in the disappearance of the boys were released on Tuesday.

Police also questioned a third man on Monday, but he also could not be linked to the incident.

Mbambo said police registered an inquest for further investigation.

The search for Bongani would resume on Friday morning.

Just doing what little boys do. So sad if someone is guilty of harming them give them the harshest sentence. Children are in danger always in this country and that's so wrong.

Why murder children? When is this going to stop????? Little children should have the freedom to play freely as we did when we were kids.
