Cape Town – Police are investigating a shooting at Cape Town station in the city’s CBD which apparently left one person dead on Tuesday.

Western Cape police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel André Traut said an unknown man allegedly shot himself at platform 24 at about midday.
“A death inquest case docket has been registered,” Traut said.
Witnesses on the scene told News24 reporter Tammy Petersen that the deceased man was “dressed in all black with only his eyes showing”.
He then began “shooting in all directions”. The man then turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the mouth.
