Durban - Six people were injured in northern KwaZulu-Natal when a marquee collapsed on them in Madadeni on Thursday, paramedics said.
Robert McKenzie, from the provincial Emergency Rescue Service, said the six people had been about to attend a religious ceremony when the marquee partially collapsed.
“One patient sustained critical injures, while the remaining patients had injuries ranging from serious to minor,” he said.
The six were taken to local health institutions, McKenzie said.
The reason for the marquee collapsing was not immediately known.
