“Criminals often try and sell stolen goods to second-hand shops, jewellery stores or sometimes present it as gifts to girlfriends or acquaintances,” said Eastern Cape police spokesperson Marinda Mills.
The rings are a Palladium wedding band with 10 princess cut diamonds and a Palladium engagement ring with rectangular princess cut diamond.
Mills said an appeal was being made to any person who may have been presented with these pieces of jewellery, or who may have seen these jewellery items, to immediately make contact with the Kabega Park Police station in Port Elizabeth, or the investigating team at the following numbers: 041 397 683/57 or Warrant Officer Anel van Eyk at 041 397 6857.
