Johannesburg - Drugs with an estimated street value of R16m were seized at OR Tambo International Airport at the weekend, the SA Revenue Service said on Monday.
A man travelling from Sao Paulo, Brazil to Lagos, Nigeria via Johannesburg was found in possession of 6.7kg of cocaine -hidden in jam tins - with an estimated street value of R1.7m on Sunday, Sars spokesperson Marika Muller said in a statement.
A woman with a connecting flight to Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo was found in possession of more than 16.8kg of cocaine concealed in her handbags.
