Taxi driver killed, 17 hurt in Bryanston accident

Johannesburg - A taxi driver was killed and 17 others injured when a taxi collided with four other cars at the intersection of William Nicol and Wedgewood Link in Bryanston on Monday morning, Johannesburg metro police said.

"The taxi, which was transporting passengers, first collided with a car in the intersection, then overturned and collided with three other cars," Chief Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said.

"The exact cause of the accident will have to be investigated."
