On Wednesday the South Gauteng High Court, sitting in Palm Ridge, jailed Wagner for life for Theologo's death after an apparent Satanic ritual in Johannesburg in October 2011.
He was sentenced to a further 18 years in prison for the attempted murder of Theologo's friend.
Harwood was jailed for 20 years for Theologo's murder and another 20 years for the attempted murder of her friend.
Judge Geraldine Borchers said Wagner played the more active role in the killing.
She said a life sentence for Harwood would be harsh because he was immature, kept bad company, was under the influence of dagga at the time of attack, and had a lack of parenting.
She could not accept that Harwood was controlled by evil spirits, music, and friends. He was capable of rehabilitation and was not a hardened criminal, she said.
