Three killed, five injured in crash

Johannesburg - Three people were killed and five others injured when a bakkie and a sedan collided just off Main Reef Road near Dobsonville, Soweto on Tuesday night, paramedics said.

"There was unfortunately nothing paramedics could do for the three deceased patients," ER24 spokesperson Pieter Rossouw said.

Johannesburg emergency services said the jaws-of-life were used to remove the three bodies which were trapped in the sedan.

The injured were taken to Krugersdorp for further medical care, spokesperson Robert Mulaudzi said.

The cause of the accident was not known.
