Three suspects arrested for possession of stolen property

Johannesburg – Three suspect allegedly involved in theft out of motor vehicle and possession of stolen property were arrested in Johannesburg on Thursday, police said.

According to a statement issued by the Johannesburg Central Police, two suspects were caught on closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras while offloading boxes containing jeans from a stationary bakkie.
The alleged suspects were between the ages of 29 and 49.

“Suspects loaded boxes inside a trolley and gave a security guard one box of jeans,” the statement read.

One suspect was caught at the corner Bree and Quinn Streets and his partner ran away. The boxes were recovered.

The security guard and a woman who bought a pair of jeans from him were apprehended for possession of stolen property.

The three suspects will appear at the Johannesburg Magistrate Court on Monday.
