Cape Town - Three suspects will appear in the Pretoria Magistrate’s Court on Monday after they were caught with 228 bank cards on Thursday.
Police were alerted to a brown Toyota Hi-Lux bakkie with suspicious occupants travelling on the N14 in the direction of Pretoria on Thursday afternoon, police spokesperson Captain Colette Weilbach confirmed in a statement.
"Lyttelton police responded and pulled the vehicle over at the Jean Avenue off-ramp. The vehicle and the three occupants were searched… [and] 228 Capitec Bank cards were found on the suspects," she said.
The three were arrested for possession of suspected stolen goods.
The suspects - aged 57, 42 and 38 – are all from Soshanguve, Weilbach said.
