Cape Town - Marli van Breda, 16, who survived a brutal axe attack on her family in Stellenbosch in January, is making "good progress", a family spokesperson told News24 on Thursday.
Her parents, Martin, 54, and Teresa, 55, and elder brother Rudi, 22, were found murdered in their house on the upmarket De Zalze golf estate on 27 January. Her brother, Henri, 20, was the only other survivor.
"Marli's condition is stable and she is making good progress - she shows movement on both sides of her body. She is not talking yet but is showing emotions and recognises close family from photographs," family spokesperson Ben Rootman told News24.
