Two held after shoot-out

Johannesburg - Two people were arrested on Thursday after a shoot-out with police in Buccleuch, northern Johannesburg, the police said.

"Two suspects arrested after shoot-out with SAPS in Buccleuch following armed robbery in Kempton Park [Ekurhuleni]; R5 [rifle] seized; other suspects fled," the police tweeted.

"The two suspects... were apparently left behind by accomplices during shoot-out with SAPS."

Gauteng police could not be immediately reached to provide further details on the incident.
