Johannesburg - Water supply was back to normal in most of Johannesburg on Tuesday afternoon following a week of interruptions, the city's water utility said.
Most reservoirs and water towers were recovering their water levels, Johannesburg Water spokesperson Millicent Kabwe said in a statement.
"Only 2% of the residents of the city are still experiencing low water pressures and no water situation."
She said the South Hills tower, Rabie Ridge, President Park, and Randjesfontein reservoirs still had low levels.
"The suburbs supplied by the four storage facilities include Ebony Park, Kaalfontein, Ivory Park, President Park, Glen Austin, Allandale, Country View, Rabie Ridge, Mayibuye, Risana, South Hills, and Thulisa Park."
Water tanks were provided in areas still affected, with priority being given to schools, clinics, and hospitals.
