Woman dies in horror KZN crash

Durban - A woman was killed when her car rolled after leaving the N3 near Bergville in central KwaZulu-Natal on Monday morning.

KwaZulu-Natal EMS spokesperson Robert McKenzie said medics rushed to the scene, which was near the Bergville Toll Plaza.

"Sadly a woman has passed away. It is believed that her car overturned before coming to rest on its wheels in the centre median between the north and south bound carriageways. Indications are that this was the only vehicle involved in the crash," he said.

"According to passing motorists who stopped to assist, the woman had been travelling with two dogs. One of the dogs ran away after the crash, while the other dog didn't appear to have sustained any injuries, and was being cared for by passers-by.

"The police were also at the scene and are investigating the exact circumstances resulting in this incident," McKenzie.
