Johannesburg - Two women were arrested for alleged possession of drugs at Cape Town International Airport, Western Cape police said on Tuesday.
A 21-year-old woman who arrived at the airport on a flight from Johannesburg was arrested on Sunday after she was allegedly found in possession of cocaine with an estimated street value of R300 000, police spokesperson FC van Wyk said.
Another woman, 51, was arrested in the domestic departures terminal after she was allegedly found in possession of heroin with an estimated street value of R605 000.
The 21-year-old appeared in the Bellville Magistrate's Court on Monday. The 51-year-old would appear in the same court on Tuesday.
