Anchen Muller’s family haven’t seen the 13-year-old since Friday, 18 August.

Her mother, Hanlie Muller, from Cape Town, told YOU telephonically that several people are assisting them in the search, but so far, there have been no leads.

"My biggest concern is where she could possibly be. The men out there are sick. She is just a 13-year-old child. She has the mind of a 13-year-old child, even though her body looks older. I just want my child to come home, please,” Hanlie sobbed.

According to Hanlie, they tried to ping Anchen's cell phone on Monday night to get an idea of ??the device’s whereabouts, but the sim card appears to have been removed from the phone.

Anchen's aunt, Mariette Dalton, has been trying to use social media to find her niece.

The last time the teen was seen, she was wearing a khaki jacket, blue denim trousers and grey boots. She is about 1,75 m tall and weighs between 65 and 70 kg.

Anchen is slim, has long brown hair and blue eyes.

According to police, the search for Anchen is ongoing. The Pink Ladies organisation and the local neighbourhood watch are also involved in the search.

Anchen allegedly slept over at friend’s home in Table View, according to a police report. However, details about the friend's address, the parents' details and contact numbers were not provided to the police.

Hanlie says the initial plan was that Anchen would sleep at the friend’s but it is unclear if she ever got there.

"Rumours are doing the rounds that my child ran away. I really don’t know anymore but I don’t know my child to do something like that,” Hanlie said.

Police spokesperson Captain FC Van Wyk said Anchen's father reported her missing on Monday.

"Anyone with information is requested to contact Bernie de Kock form the Brackenfell police at 084 586 6027."
