Cape Town - Three men were arrested after allegedly robbing a cellphone store in central Cape Town, Western Cape police said on Friday.
Officers rushed to the scene in Riebeeck Street on Thursday afternoon to find the men running out of the store, according to a Cape Town central police station statement.
One of the men apparently threw a firearm to the ground when he saw the police.
The group, aged 24 to 30, were arrested a short while later, said provincial police spokesperson Captain FC van Wyk.
Two firearms and a magazine with eight rounds were seized. The men were expected to appear in court soon.
