Bloemfontein – A 30-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping his 60-year-old aunt at her home in Thaba Nchu in the Free State, police said on Friday.
The woman was asleep when the man knocked on her door on Wednesday night, Sergeant Martin Xuma said.
When she opened the door, she found that it was her nephew. The 30-year-old suspect pushed her, undressed her, and then allegedly raped her.
"The 60-year-old reported the matter to her younger sister, who then alerted the Selosesha Police Station," said Xuma.
The suspect was arrested at one of his relatives on Thursday. He was expected to appear in the Thaba Nchu Magistrate’s Court soon.
