Johannesburg – Gauteng police have launched a manhunt for a man who shot and killed five family members in Hillbrow, Johannesburg central on Monday evening.
"It is alleged that he entered the flat and opened fire on the three women and two children. They were shot in the upper body," Captain Mavela Masondo said on Tuesday.
Masondo said the two boys were aged 7 and 3.
The incident happened at around 20:00 on Monday evening at the corner of Kaptein and Claim Streets.
Masondo said police are investigating five cases of murder.
No arrest had been made.
