Potchefstroom – An alleged intruder was killed during an apparent farm attack in Roodekraal, Potchefstroom, on Thursday morning, North West police said.
A gardener saw three men approach the farm house at 08:00 and raised the alarm, spokesperson Lt-Col Pelonomi Makau said.
The gardener’s son informed the domestic worker and they tried to close all the doors to the house. One intruder however managed to make his way inside, where the 72-year-old farm owner confronted him.
During their confrontation, the man was shot dead. His alleged accomplices ran away.
