Man, 60, stabbed at his Margate home

Johannesburg - A 60-year-old man was stabbed in an attempted robbery in Margate, paramedics said on Sunday.

"[The] man was in his driveway when he was attacked and stabbed multiple times during an apparent robbery attempt," said Netcare 911 spokesperson Nick Dollman in a statement.

The attack happened early on Sunday morning. The man was stabilised at the scene by paramedics, before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

Police are investigating the crime.
