Cape Town – A man fell to his death from the highest point of Table Mountain on Tuesday morning, Wilderness Search and Rescue said.
After falling at Maclear’s Beacon, he landed close to the Platteklip footpath, said WSAR spokesperson Johann Marais.
He said rescuers and forensic officials were on their way to investigate and retrieve the body.
Western Cape police were not immediately available for comment.
Two mountain club members were also assisting a woman who injured her shoulder on the Woody Ravine route, on the Twelve Apostles side of Table Mountain.
