Man killed in Vanderbijlpark 'hit-and-run'

Vanderbijlpark - A man was killed in Vanderbijlpark on Monday morning in an apparent hit-and-run incident.

According to ER24 spokesperson Russel Meiring, the man, believed to be in his 30s, was already dead when paramedics arrived at the scene on the R57.

"On arrival, paramedics found the lifeless body of the man lying in the middle of the one lane.

Unfortunately, nothing more could be done for the patient and he was declared dead on scene."

The driver was allegedly nowhere to be found. Police are investigating.
