Cape Town – A rescue team was assembled on Tuesday night to access three people stuck on a hiking route on Table Mountain, Wilderness Search and Rescue (WSAR) said.
Six technically-skilled volunteers, a paramedic and at least three climbers from Hottentots Holland were making their way to the Blinkwater Ravine, said spokesperson Johann Marais.
They were accessing the route from the Camps Bay side of the mountain.
Marais said they were in cellphone contact with all parties.
“They will take three or four 50m ropes and climbing gear with so as to be able to negotiate the upper technical sections which we anticipate they may have to climb.”
