Johannesburg - The second man who was trapped in a mine on Stanley Road in Primrose, Germiston has died, paramedics said on Friday.
The man was brought to the surface and declared dead around 00:00 on Friday, ER24 spokesperson Annine Siddall told News24.
The owner and one employee of the mine had descended more than 75m into the mine to check on water levels around 15:00 on Thursday.
One man was declared dead at 18:00 while the other one remained trapped.
Siddall said both had run out of oxygen.
