Johannesburg - Three people found in possession of suspected stolen copper cables were expected to appear in the Vryburg Magistrate's Court on Monday, said North West police.
The group was arrested during the week following investigations by a team of investigators contracted by Eskom, said spokesperson Pelonomi Makau.
"[Eskom investigators] allegedly searched [the] electric power line and the field along N14 road where three men were found in possession of 450m of electrical copper cables that were apparently stolen from the power line near Vryburg," said Makau.
The police were called in and the group was arrested and charged with theft and possession of copper cables.
