Johannesburg - A municipal manager embroiled in a jobs for ANC cadres scandal might not face disciplinary action due to the protection he is getting from the party, City Press reports.
The ANC-led Mbombela council has not discussed Noko Seanego despite overwhelming evidence that he allegedly violated laws and procedures to employ 40 ANC cadres as law enforcement officers in October last year.
Even after the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) had laid fraud and criminal charges against Seanego in January, the council could not be moved to suspend him and conduct an internal investigation.
